Genius – not a word I would usually use to describe myself. To me it implies expert knowledge with an element of something that hasn’t been thought, said or done before. A light bulb moment.
Change Happens
Have you noticed that a lot is changing? Autumn has arrived, the children are a year older, you don’t like the outfit you loved last season and there’s even a female Dr Who! Looking around it’s easy to see that ‘change happens’.
The Pace of Summer
Work pace often changes over the summer. Some continue to work ‘on’ the business rather than directly with clients, some keep things ‘ticking over’ and some like to switch off all together with the minimal input to work.
Three Cheers For Success!
How do you define success? The Oxford English Dictionary describes success as ‘the accomplishment of an aim or purpose, the good or bad outcome of an undertaking’.

Here’s a process I use to make tackling tasks easier.
One Step Beyond
You know your job, your routine, how you like your coffee and your favourite dinner. Admittedly life isn’t always calm, but on the whole life is predictable and manageable.
And then you are challenged.
Switch off
We all find it increasingly hard to switch off. It’s all too easy to have a phone on silent and surreptitiously look at it whilst we are at another meeting or out with friends. In fact, it’s almost become acceptable behaviour to have your phone to hand ‘just in case’. Whilst we’re in work mode it may make you comfortable but it then becomes only a short step to do the same whilst on holiday. Continue reading “Switch off”
